Concerns/Indications
As a result of the natural ageing process skin looses its fullness and firm texture. With poly-L-lactic acid Scupltra we can restore facial contours and eliminate unwanted lines and wrinkles. Poly-L-lactic acid has been used in surgical procedures for 25yrs+ as it is long lasting, biocompatible and biodegradeable.
Sculptra is an non-animal injectable product but it is not a filler. It works in the lower layers of the skin stimulating your own collagen producing cells to restore volume and enhance facial contours. It does not produce instant results like fillers, but gives long lasting results, up to 18 months, following a course of treatments. It can be safely used in conjunction with other anti-ageing treatments such as Skin Peels, Laser and IPL, and Botox®.

After Care
Treated areas will be swollen for approximately 48hrs although this may persist depending on sensitivity. There is a high possibility of bruising and it is recommended that arnica tablets are taken 1 week prior to treatment. Take anti-inflammatory medication to relieve any discomfort and swelling i.e. Paracetamol.
To gain the best results you SHOULD NOT:
Have sunbeds or expose treated areas to direct sunlight for 2 weeks post treatment
To gain the best results you SHOULD:
Massage treated area(s) for 10 mins twice daily for 7 days, then once a day for 5 weeks.
Normal skincare/make up routine can be resumed within 24hrs.
