The dangers of permanent fillers

In light of the recent scandal regarding PIP breast implants, there has been much reporting on the use of PERMANENT fillers for facial rejuvenation.

We want to assure all of our clients that at Persona Cosmetic Medicine, we only use TEMPORARY fillers made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in our skin and therefore very compatible with the human body. Temporary fillers gradually degrade over several months and can be dissolved should the need arise.

At Person we only use fillers that have FDA approval. The FDA is the American regulatory system for cosmetic medicine which is far more stringent than the regulations in the UK and Europe.
All practitioners at Persona are medically qualified Doctors and Nurses who have taken the necessary qualifications in medical aesthetics. Our practitioners are also very experienced and highly skilled in the administration of fillers and other medical aesthetic products.

We would urge anyone considering a cosmetic medical procedure to ensure that the practitioners administering the treatment is using approved, SAFE products, is medically qualified and experienced in the use and administration of these products.

Approved cosmetic products such as Restylane & Juvederm as used by Persona are expensive for us to buy because they have undergone rigorous testing and clinical trials. But they are SAFE, HIGHLY COMPATIBLE WITH HUMAN SKIN AND APPROVED FOR COSMETIC USE.
