Earlobe Repair/Reduction

What is Earlobe Repair & Reduction?
Stretched earlobes, Split Earlobes or Elongated Large earlobes can have a dragging effect and can also contribute to a person looking much older than they actually are. This problem can be genetic and run in the family or can be caused by the dragging effect of heavy jewellery or can simply be caused by the natural aging process.
What happens during the Earlobe Repair & Reduction procedure?
Performed under local anaesthetic, the procedure is pain-free. A part of the earlobe will be wedged excised, and the remaining earlobe is reconstructed with sutures. A dressing is applied to protect the area.
Earlobe Repair & Reduction Recovery and Results
The recovery is relatively quick, with most patients experiencing minimal discomfort. Scarring will fade over time, and the earlobes will have a smaller more youthful appearance.
Complications
Though 95% of cases are complication-free, there is a small risk of bleeding, infection, scarring, or deformity.
Aftercare
Sutures are typically removed after 10–14 days. Aftercare instructions will be provided to ensure a smooth recovery.
