What are Lip fillers?

How does the treatment work?

As we age our lips naturally loose volume, become thinner and loose definition. Fine lines that can cause lipstick bleed, also known as ‘smokers lines’ may start to develop. Many of us also have asymmetrical lips, where the bottom lip may appear fuller than the top. This can be corrected by using Dermal fillers, to balance out the asymmetry. The Dermal fillers used here are temporary. Dermal fillers are made up of Hyaluronic acid, which we already have in our skin. When in injected, our immune system does not try to reject the filler, therefore we do not see problems that occur with permanent fillers.

What to expect after treatment:

After your Lip Filler treatment you may experience temporary side effects such as redness, swelling, and possible bruising at the injection sites. These will usually subside within a few days. When to expect results:

Results from Dermal fillers are visible immediately after treatment. You may experience slight swelling or bruising, but this usually settles within a few days. 

Most clients enjoy results that last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the area treated and the type of filler used. We recommend having a consultation prior to treatment to recieve a personalised treatment plan to maintain long-lasting, balanced results.
