Skin Tag Removal in Bexleyheath
From £195
Skin tags are small, flesh-coloured growths that often hang off the skin by a thin stalk. Medically known as acrochordons, they commonly appear in areas where skin rubs together, such as the neck, eyelids and underarms. They may also be referred to as a senile wart. While completely harmless, skin tags can become irritated or catch on jewellery or clothing.
Many clients choose to remove them for cosmetic reasons or to eliminate discomfort. Removal is fast, safe and straightforward when done with the right technique.

How do we remove Skin Tags at Persona Medical Aesthetics?
We offer two methods for skin tag removal: skin shave and diathermy. Both techniques provide precise results with minimal downtime.
For the skin shave technique, we use a sterile blade to gently shave the skin tag at its base, delivering immediate results for the most visible tags. With diathermy, our clinicians apply brief pulses of heat with a fine probe to remove the tag and seal blood vessels.
Our medical team will assess which method of removal is most suitable due to the size, location and number of skin tags.

How does the treatment work?
If we use skin shave removal, we carefully trim the skin tag flush with the surface of your skin. This method causes minimal bleeding and requires no stitches.
If we use diathermy, we apply the thermal device directly to the skin tag to cauterise and remove it in a few seconds.
With both of these methods, you can usually return to your usual activities immediately after the procedure.
What to expect from your skin tag treatment
Healing begins right away. You may notice a small scab or slight redness at the treatment site. This typically resolves within 5-10 days.
When to expect results:
As the skin heals, the area smooths out naturally. While you don’t need to schedule any downtime, we recommend keeping the area clean, avoiding perfumes near the site and protecting the skin from sun exposure.
